I caught a catfish last night and she appeared to be full of eggs???

Hey! It's early August, the surface temperature is nearly 100 degrees. Has she lost her mind? Do catfish spawn more than once a year? I lie awake nights worrying about this.

DEAR GOD...CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS?

why are you so worried? its only fish babies. they dotn hurt dont be so scared.

It's just a stinky cat fish probably from a lake?  Why do you care so much????  They can do it themselves!!!

Catfish lay eggs so if there is no male there to fertilize her egss they wont hatch. When she spawns, just remove the eggs (unless you do have a male and want them). You don't need to worry about her, she'll be perfectly fine.
