I caught this fish ...?

and it was very slimy but in not sure what it is can anyone help

its a not very god size carp

icought a carp that almost broke my poleinto two it was a 14lber.

It is actually a grass carp.There are three types ,common,mirror and grass.The shorter fin on top and lack of barbels on the mouth make it easy to identify as a grass carp.They can grow to be a VERY big,in the 70+ pound range given enough plants and lake size.Here's a good site for some info on various fish:

Definitely a carp.  Only worth eating if it's smoked.  Then its delicious!!!! :)

Thats a good sized carp you got there. Not very good eating unless you live in Norway or something. They eat just about anything they can fit in their mouth thats why they're called trash. They're actually really fun to catch because they put up quite a fight. Good luck and good fishing!

it could be a carp or a buffalo drum i caught one that looked like that it has the body of a carp and the head of a sucker

thats a carp dont eat it they are made of trash like plastic and dirt they will eat anything

That is a carp. Gold sides and sucker mouth are the giveaways here.

Looks to me like it could be what they call a Carp.

If in the south they may call it a Grinnell. (not sure of the spelling).
