I am trying to see if i can travel to Germany - for work - and be able to get back in with in 3months or so. I changed form L2 to F1 in the US, so if i go out i know i need a visa stamp from my country or another country to get back in. So, I would like to know if you know if that is possible or is it too hard/risky to try to do it in Germany? And if so, do u recommend any other countries?

  1. u can get your R2 D2 stamped at a

    Star Wars convention

  2. You have to keep your terms clear.  It seems you entered the US as an L2 (spouse). On your own merit, you changed your status to an F1 (student).  Your I-94 card stated you can remain in the USA for the "Duration of Status" - as long as you maintain your student status. If the university that you're studying at allows you to leave for three months, I see no problem. What I'm not sure of is whether your university will allow you to take no classes for three months *and* remain a student. You'll need your valid, current I-20 when you return, too.

Can you do that?  Can you, in fact, remain a student if you leave for three months?
