I got a new car so my car insurance went up. I have Progressive and changed the policy online. I tend to pay for 6 months of insurance at a time, so I'd already paid for 6 months for my old car about 2 months ago. I have yet to get a bill for the additional cost, and was wondering when I'll be billed for it? They sent me my new cards and everything.. still no bill.

  1. Progessive is pretty on the ball with their billing.  Really depends on what type of vehicle you bought.  Maybe it was a wash.

  2. Insurance is somnething not to be folled around with considering, in contrast, the alternative.  However, when you received your new cards, you should have received a complete new policy containing many pages.  As long as you have that, you are completely safe.  the billing issue is their problem not yours.  You are not exepcted to chase them.  the only downside I see is that if you have dropped off the billing radar, one day you will for sure pop back on and end up getting a larger bill that must be paid immediately.  either way, as long as you have your cards and the full updated policy, confirm the expiry dates and VIN's and you're completely in the clear!

  3. well i would guess it would be in 6 mos.. but if its bugging you not try calling someone on the phone

  4. If the cards you got list your new car as coverage, you are covered.  Perhaps there was no increase.  If you are worried about it, call your agent and ask.
