  1. Windows : .. in logon screen, pls press ctrl+alt+del twice. It will show you a screen that a user have to input user name and passwd. Fill it with Administrator then press Enter (without fill passwd),  if when u install Windows without fill a paswd.. If it's fail, then u should boot by a bootable CD that has a passwd reset, i.e Hireen BootCd.

Linux or Unix like : login as a single user.

  2. I don't quite understand what you mean it is now blocked. Do you mean you forgot your password and now you are locked out?

Try logging in as Administrator and that way you can change/reset the password of your account.

If it is the "administrator" account password that you have forgotten, the only way out is to reinstall the OS and lose the data.

  3. The very first step you take is you still have a chance of changing the password by an invisible administer account. You probably haven't seen it yet but its their. It is invisible for a normal login BUT if you keep tapping (and keep tapping like a mad man) F8 as soon as your computer starts it gives you a boot menu. In that boot menu select "Start windows in safe mode" press enter. Then you will see loads of text called verbose and after that you will see the normal login screen. However you should see an administrator account that wasn't there before. Don't worry it doesn't have a password just click on it and it will come up with a dialog box saying "Would you like a to run safe mode?" Click yes and then it will carry on. Then all you have to do is go into the control panel and change any password you want. Please use a notepad and pen. lol:)

If not then the next step as the administers account is locked, don't re-install if you have data you cannot live without. First things first if you need your data boot up on Knoppix. You can download Knoppix for free and burn to a DVD. Then all you have to do is reboot and start your computer on Knoppix. Once your in plug an external hard drive in and then copy the hard drive information and paste it into the external hard drive. If you don't know about Linux then I am wasting my time but hopefully you do know what I am on about.

If you can log into administrator then you can access the files from document settings in C:\.

  4. Do what lawrence T said, it will work, however, one thing I might add is that the button to press for safe mode isn't always F8, could be a few different different Fnumbers. if you can't get into safe mode using an Fnumber, when windows starts loading and you get the xp logo with the loading bar below it, hold down your off button for 7 seconds. do this 2 or 3 times, then when you boot up it will say windows hasn't loaded last few times, would you like to load safe mode, and select load safe mode
