.. and yesterday the pump hose split and sprayed all of us with raw sewage. We went to Burger King for lunch and I guess we didn't notice how bad we smelled because everyone inside started gagging and leaving. Should we have just sat outside on the curb and eaten our burgers? I will say this much, it was real easy to move up in line and the manager offered to give us all double portions of fries if we would 'finish-up' and leave the dining room.

  1. haha s**+tty job. GET IT hahaha

  2. You have just as much right as anyone else there if not more! You are a working man and need to eat! Unlike those old people who just go in for coffee, pie and to read the paper.

And I have to agree (again) with roadkill, the only reason you don't smell them is because the are behind the fries!

  3. If you think the guy that puts you burger in the microwave smells any better, you are mistaken!

  4. IMO, you had a "right" to eat inside as long as Burger King did not ask you to leave.  However, although sometimes we have a right to do something, it would still be bad etiquette to do it.

I think you should feel bad for eating inside once you've noticed that your presence had such a negative impact on "everyone inside."  I am not sure, from your post, if you still had any raw sewage on you.  If you did, then it was not just a matter of etiquette, but an issue of public (health) safety.

Your Rosie O'Donnell analogy is flawed because much fewer people would react to her as they would to the smell of raw sewage.  Also, you could, if you so choose, not look at her and continue with your meal.  The other customers at the BK could not choose to not smell the raw sewage because they could not just stop breathing.

Now, if Rosie O'Donnell were to go to the BK and yell gag-inducing things non-stop, then she would be in a comparable position as yours.  She would have a right to eat inside the BK unless the restaurant asked her to leave, but she should leave or shut up.

  5. The other respondents make a good point: it is a question of manners, and it would break any number of health codes.  They do have the right to ask you to leave.  Okay, what happened was all in a days work, but it still means you should not have gone in there.

  6. Hi Clevis D,

Let's hope you all washed your hands before you ate.  When the manager said double fries that should have sent you all to the rest room to try & freshen up some (carry bottle of Fabreeze-quick squirt may have helped some).  I'd have to say manners 1st then again you should've known & gone  through the drive up window. Have a good night. :0)

Additional Details: People all have different opinions as to what makes them gag but clearly the raw sewage, garbage  would have to tip the scales for me. I'll give you a star for such cute pic.

  7. You made a great point with the Rosie Odonnell thing. She is enough to make a roach lose its lunch.

  8. You should be courteous and eat outside.  This is not a question of rights it's a question of manners.

  9. Dude, in that situation I think to eat outside would be a REAL nice thing to do.

But I'm w/ you concerning Rosie, h**l yeah!
