I closed my bank account about 18 months ago. would my records still be on file?

  1. Yes, your bank still has your records. You may have to pay a fee for them to retrieve the file, but since everything is on the computer, they have at least 10 years of data stored.  


  2. I'm not sure it depends on the bank. I work in sort of a banking/money field and we have to keep all records for 18 months just in case we are audited.

  4. Banks have all their files on micro-film.  One you have opened an account, all your info etc. is on file forever.  It might take them some time to dig it up, but it is there.
