are sure you type the right username & password? ok maybe this will help, just follow the procedure im going to tell you:

1) try to delete Temporary internet files, History and Cookies

Just Click on START - RUN - then type inetcpl.cpl - ENTER

Perform DEFRAGMENT on your Local Drive C, this will make your computer performance a little more faster...

Then perform a system reset...

2) If number #1 still no changes in your yahoo messenger, all you need to do is uninstalling your YM then download/install yahoo messenger thru net... Newer Version is available just in case your using older version...
