I've tried to get ahold of her but as soon as I mentioned getting my name off the car she disappeared, I really need to get my name off soon or it'll start a chain reaction that'll lead to me living in the street so any help would be appreciated

  1. you cant unless she refinances it in her name only, or she signs it over for you to get it refinanced in your name.

  2. I am guessing that you co-signed on the loan papers. Not much you can do now except hope she keeps making the payments. This is why I would not ever co-sign for a loan. Attempt to contact the loan company so you will be advised if something goes wrong. Perhaps you can make some sort of deal if she quits making payments to get the car repoed and you start making the payments. At least this would save your credit.

  3. Sounds like you got scammed...

Report the car stolen, you are the co-owner. You are going to need to know the plate and registration number though.

Thats how you track her down.

  4. By co-signing a loan, you agree to pay if the primary borrower does not.  You are responsible for the loan.

You could try talking to a lawyer to see if there are any grounds to sue her.  I doubt it, but it may be worth a try.
