  1. kick them in the butt.

  2. have fun drills that have sometimes little rewards like candy or something and play music

  3. You don't say what level, but I'm going to assume it is recreational or lower league standard.

Most games at this level are won and lost on serve/receive.

If you can't pass the ball to the setter than hitting practice or combination plays are a waste of time. Similarly time spent on blocking drills, defensive formations etc could be best spent elsewhere.

Use a very simple system, set from 3, no switching, with W receive. Spend 80% of your time on serve/receive drills. Concentrate on anticipation, calling, movement, and good digging technique.

Make serving a feature of your teams game. All players must be able to serve consistently and be able direct their serve at weak players in the opposition line up. They can practice serve on a tennis court, or you can even do it in a open space with a couple of ropes  for court markings and two 8ft sticks in the ground. They must develop an overarm serve to pressure the receive

Serve, serve, serve. They must practice and practice. Soon they'll be picking off the weak receivers and you'll be scoring 10 service winners per game. That, and your improved receive will give you the platform to develop more advanced aspects.

  4. im a volleyball player and my coach is a good coach and i have good team lol

k anyways my what my coach does is that she gives us pushups whenever no one gets the ball because they think the other person will get it

she gives us 10 but it depends on the age i guess

  5. try to make a school( if you don't have) and teach little children for a few years so they can play when they'll be big in you're club.. today you lose, tomorrow you win, that's it! good luck

  6. Well, you didn't give us much information on your team - is it a school team, a rec team, a league team?

I'll assume you're talking about a school team. One of the best resources I've found on the internet is the About.com volleyball website (see the links). It has lots of good information on coaching - and for coaches, drills, camps, all sorts of good stuff.

If I were in your situation - here's what I'd do...

    Focus on basics.

If the players can't recieve a serve, bump or pass a ball, set the ball - then it doesn't matter if they can or can't spike it.

I'd work on drills to help them with their ball control - the more they can control the ball, the better they'll be at recieving a serve, passing a ball, setting up your hitters.

If you're in a school setting, I'd also look at coming up with "open gyms" where the nets are up, the balls are out, and players can come warm up, and then work on playing.

Look at hosting a camp for your volleyball players, if you check the links below, you'll find some information.

Encourage your players to play in the off-season, club teams, intramurals, leagues, things like that. The more they play, the better they'll be.

Most of all, be encouraging and supportive of them. Let them know you're proud of them, and that they're trying hard.

    Good luck to you!

  7. you just have to be patient and work hard with them. you can be hard on them physical-wise...but don't yell...that'll just bring them down. always give them advice if they're doing something wrong

  8. That´s the name of the game!  Players that are great aren´t always the ones that hit the balls straight down...they are just consistent and smart.  Depends on the problem that you are having.

I like to always start with breaking down fundamentals.  Then from there you can increase to wash drills.  This means that there are 2 balls.  One side must win 2 in order for a point.  If it´s one and one then it´s a wash.  I like to practice using drills that simulate the stress and pressure you would feel in a game, then it´s not so foreign.  Stack the odds against them, like make one side start 3 points down and then have to come back and win...even if they don´t they understand the feeling.  Good luck!
