I am afraid to work because I am not very good with people. And if I work I'll have to communicate alot with my fellow teachers as well as the parents of the students. I am not confident enough. I don't know why...I've got experience and I'm good with children. Despite of this I am not confident that I'll get the job and if I get the job I won't be able to work there for a long time. I've experienced this in my life..I used to get jobs but then easily loose them too. And the problem with me is that I'm very shy and reserved kind of a person. Don't know why I am not able to communicate confidently with people. Any suggestion?

  1. I know it's easy for people to say you should have more confidence but, think about it - you wouldn't have passed your course if your tutors didn't believe you would make a good teacher. There is nothing wrong with being quieter and shyer than most people. Make some applications and take it one step at a time.

You could try some confidence building exercises which you can find if you search on the web.

I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck.

  2. Find another line of work.

  3. Either suck it up and start teaching to use those years of education, or find another line of work.  Many teachers do well in administrative jobs and something in Human Resources may be more our liking because you would just be one on one with people and you would be the one in charge
