I connect 2 generators in one common bus bar in a switchgear.I will operate it alternately.Is it correct?

I use two 700kva generator in common in one bus bar.I run the other generator and the other as a stand by.I connect it directly to the bus bar of the switchgear.

  1. You must be very care full. Your scheme is ok as long as the non-operating generator is Isolated from the the bus. Otherwise you could damage it.

    Keep in mind you do not have a "Line Sync" control board to assure the two are in phase. Even with the unit turned off, there can be "pass through leakage currents" which could cause damage.

    Isolate the two units. Use a twist lock connector rated at 30amps. Plug one into the switch gear at a time.
