I connect to internet with my laptop through UMTS ( my cell sim card ), but when I ....?

Question

i can perfectly connect to internet with my laptop through UMTS ( my cell sim card ), but when I download ICQ ( chatting software),internet gets lost ( it wont connect to internet anymore) and as soon as i delete ICQ, internet comes back again.

Does anyone know what can i do so that it won't happen ?

give trillian a try if you NEED ICQ.  It would seem that ICQ just installs a plugin or driver that causes a conflict with your internet connection.  Otherwise I'd just say don't use ICQ.  Trillian is also a chatting program that allows you to use all the mainstream chat applications such as AIM, Yahoo, MSN, and ICQ all in one program.
