I don't see why you would want to delete it. Its actually I think the best open source ANTIVIRUS out there. Yes even better than AVG.

But if you must uninstall i would suggest you download the program again.

install it completely and then restart your PC.

now we are going to use this program called REVO uninstaller, again its 100% open source and works well at removing programs and any other junk like registry keys and such left behind during the normal uninstall process.

after you install this program, i would suggest you restart your PC again, and then run the program and look for Avira and hit uninstall.

it will do the work and completely uninstall it from your PC.

more information needed. did you go through control panel? what error did you get?

if u cant uninstall it i wold suggest you that download a new version from net nd upgrade it nd if u want to uninstall then u will be able to remove it but i think its an very nice anti virus iam using it from 2 years nd my pc is virus free but u need to update it daily :-)

try installing it with administrative privilege. Right click the installer and click on run as administrator.

I have this software downloaded from the internet called, "your uninstaller 2008". And it is a really great software. It uninstalls a program and never leaves any traces of it. it has 24 day trial that should clean up all the programs you don't want including avira anti virus.

or maybe, you can't uninstall it because it is running from your processes. Press ctrl+alt+del. go to 'Processes'. and look for avira anti virus or something like that and click end process. then, uninstall the program. hope this help.
