  1. Because there are always plenty of people willing to spend their hard earned cash there.

  2. If you don`t like the price don`t buy one. Get a 9p one from Lidls. It will be stronger too.

  3. To keep out the undesirables such as people who can only afford carrier bags.

  4. Harrods is just as expensive as Harvey Nics. Reason for it being so expensive is cos Mr Al Fayed owns it, and thats why hes so rich! Plus, all places that sell designer gear are! I havent actually bought anything from there yet, as up in Scotland, but love to go to the Harvey Nics in Edinburgh occasionally!

  5. I don't think its that pricey to be honest. I did a lot of Christmas shopping there for my grandson as the toys were actually cheaper in Harrods than they were in Hamlys!!!

  6. Its expensive because its aimed for the rich and wealthy, like celebrities royal, millionare

    wannabe rich kids,rich kids ect

btw yiou dont need to pay for a carrier bag, sometime when you are going to buy somthing expensive, like cliniqie este lauder, perfumes, designer bag,

    go to Harrods instead

  7. its expensive only because of the name - as long as people will spend stupid money then they can charge stupid prices.  However to be fair - most of the stuff costs what it would in other shops its just that they usually stock the expensive stuff anyway.

When i was a nanny in Clapham we had a family account there and i used to buy all the children's clothes, games and toiletries from there (and mine as well).  I used to walk out laden with bags!

I don't shop their now cos i don't want to put any more money in Al Fayed's pocket!

  8. Harrods and Selfridges are highly priced to attract the custom of only those who can afford it. It is a human failing among the rich that they believe the more an item costs, the better it is.
