Well I've just eaten a lot of oats for breakfast (oatibix bitesize) I think about 50g. Then I ate a packet of baked walkers crisps and now I've eaten so much brown rice with mixed vegtables but i've eaten like 140g probably more of it with yogurt lol, I think I've had far too many carbs. I'm underweight and have a fast metabolism so I'm sure I wont get fat but I mean is it healthy? It's not like it's unhealthy food right?

  1. excess carbohydrates, can bring on things like constipation. although because you have things like Fibre and yogurt, in your diet it may balance things out,

i'd stick to fruit and veg for a while and then go back to Carbs bring them back into your diet slowly

  2. Don't obsess over every little detail of your food. Food science is amazingly imperfect. Different studies will tell you that the same food is totally good for you and totally bad for you. Not to mention that different people's bodies have different needs!

YOU know your stomach better than we do.

If you think you've eaten too many carbs today, eat something non-carby for your next meal. Have some nice fruit and vegetables. The best thing for your health is to get a varied died with lots of different nutrients.

  3. Carbohydrates are more essential than any other nutrient substrate. The American Dietary Association recommends a diet with AT LEAST 60% carbohydrate intake. The food you're eating is actually pretty awesome.

Don't worry about taking too much carbohydrates, especially if the carbs you eat come from mixed vegetables and oats. They are examples of complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates do not trigger insulin spikes that lead to fat deposition, which means they are totally safe to eat.

By the way, since Yogurt is a milk byproduct, it is classified under fat. It is actually "saturated fat," which means that it normally stays solid in room temperature. Too much saturated fat causes clogged arteries and heart disease. The good fats are "unsaturated fats," which remain liquid in room temperature. Vegetable oils and Olive oil are good examples of unsaturated fat. Unsaturated fat lowers risk of heart disease and even lowers cholesterol.
