I could use some help with my parents please

Question

Ok so a few months ago we got a small crack on our windshield. A few days ago I caught my brothers and sister tapping on the crack making it larger. I told them to get off and I went to look at the crack. I was wondering just out of high curiosity what would happend if I tapped it. So I did and the crack grew a whole 2 inches. Now my parents are furious. I am also grounded now.. How do I tell them I am sorry. I am and I feel so bad. pelase help you guys

Pay to have it fixed.  If this was your car, you would be mad, too.

Tell them you know you made a mistake and pay to have a new one.  Get a job or odd jobs from neighbors.  If your too young to work than you need to ask your parents how you can help around the house to make the situation better.  ANd do more than they ask.  It would've probably cracked more in the winter if they hadnt gotten it fixed.  Sometimes this happens in the winter and you use the heater and defrost.  But still no excuse cause it doesnt always happen.  Tell them to check their insurance policy.  Mine covers that with no deductible as long as you dont tell them you tapped on it.
