I could use some pointers on the drive test to get my license?

Question

i take my drive test tomarrow to get my license and i was trying to remember everything i was supposed to remember.

what i mainly need help on is some things to remember about backing around a corner like where to do headchecks and when you are SUPPOSED to have 2 hands on the steering wheel. i think that is when you are actually turning cuz your not aloud to palm it.

and when paralel parking,,, how close to the curb do you have to be,? and anything else you think i should know. =]

left turns and making sure u change lanes into the left turn, and make sure when u go into a left turn, after getting there u signal and then go on the right. Umm right turns and not being too close to the edge.

You should always have one hand on the steering wheel. The correct way to turn is hand-over hand, not sliding your hands around with a loose grip.

When parallel parking, you need to end up about 6 inches away from the curb. Depending on where you live, the tester may not even grade you that hard on parallel parking.

The key to driving is to 1) be confident of your own skills while cautious of others, and 2) keep your eyes moving, in front of you, in both mirrors, to both sides of you, and of course in your blind spot when you're changing lanes.

The more you practice looking around you, the easier it will be. Basically, have a broad open view in front of you and it will include your peripheral vision too.

well here in florida our test consist of:

1. Front Parking

2. Being able to back out of parking

3. Driving on road

3. Turning signals

4. 5 second stops at ALL stop signs

6. both hand on steering wheel.

7. making a U-Turn

8. A 3 Point Turn

9. Quick Stop (This is where you bring your car up to a speed of 30 MPH and your are asked by instructor to make a complete and "QUICK" stop.  Otherwise slam on your brakes but not literally and stop before a marked line on the ground.)

Turning must be hand over hand turning there is no one hand turning or palm turning allowed they detuct points from that.
