I need my w2 form to do refinancing, but I cannot find it. What can I do to get another one?

  1. From your employer.  If you can't get it there, you can get one from the IRS

    Call the IRS, 1-800-829-1040, ask for W-2 information printout. They can give you it.

  3. It should be with your tax preparer, they always keep a file. Ask your boss.

  5. What you need is a copy from the IRS, call 1-800-829-1040 or visit IRS local office in  your city and request the wage information transcript.  IT is not the actual w2 but it does give you the employer information and the amount you earned etc.

    Or download Form 4506-T from the IRS website and mail/fax to appropriate address/fax number.
