  1. when this happends it means you could have a spirit on top of you.

  2. Happens to everybody. I had one where I was dancing on American Idol and couldn't stop. Woke up all sweaty and worn out. Nothing unusual.

  3. I'm going to have to agree with teknogurl, what your describing is uncommon but pretty freaky. All i know is that there is probably something spiritual in your sisters room. I hate to scare you like that but it might be true.  and to the people saying that you should just tell yourself its a dream while in paralysis, its not a dream! hopefully it dosnt come back.

  4. i read that its because in your life there is two ways to go and you cant make up your mind so you feel that you're awake but cant move or talk and you stay like that for a wile i had this happen to me for a month straight its not scary after the first couple of times  to stop it you can try placing a bowl of water under your bed to stop the nightmares

  5. ahh! i semi wake up sometimes and dream me trying to get up or if im at a friends house dream we are talking and it feels real like we were tallking or i actually got up and got breakfast then i wake up and was like.. whoa..

  6. You were probably experiencing sleep paralysis. It's not that uncommon and usually not harmful. It is just scary to feel that way, that it feels like a nightmare. What you can do the next time that is happening, think about that it is only a dream, tell yourself to wake up. Wiggle your toes - a lot of times, it helps when I get those dreams, too. Don't fight it, relax, and tell yourself - you are going to get out of it, and wake up.

  7. Well superstition has it that when you dream your soul leaves your body and experiences things not bound the laws of time and space. (This is the explanation for Deja Vu by the way: you soul has experienced the situation already in the future while dreaming, then you experience it again in present time).

But anyway, body, mind, and soul are three seperate things. If something should happen to wake you up physically and conciously, but you spirit hasn't returned to the body as yet, there is no way to actually move, speak, etc.

People panic while this happens and may feel a sudden "release of pressure". They say this is the soul re-entering the body. Sometime people say they feel a little "thud" like a rough re-entry. It is so hazy that some brush it off and assume that it occured while still dreaming. But it is a very real experience and it does happen often.

The sensation or dream of free falling when you are in the half asleep- half awake phase just before you open your eyes is your soul doing a last-minute hurried re-entry before you regain conciousness.

    Interesting stuff, huh?
