I crashed and fell on my hand is it sprained or not?

Question

Actually my thumb I was riding a dirt bike, and the handle bar fell on my thumb now my thumb when I want to bend it feels like (when you crack your hands) and will just like make poppy noises (that never happened before) and when I straighten my thumb feels like a pulling pain any ideas on what I did? Obviously if it doesn't get better I'll see a doctor or maybe I'm just a skitzofrinic. I don't know....(help!...I'm typing with one hand!)

haha, I did something similar on my dirtbike except it was my index finger. I could move it and everything, it was just painful especially when I straightened it out. I went and got it x-rayed and it turned out that I had a minor fracture and it healed rather fast, they didn't even give me a finger splint, just sent me on my way home.

yea i believe it may be broken but u should make sure u see a doctor to check it out.

Could be a broken thumb or could be just jammed. If you're waiting to go see a doctor, ice it in the meantime and if it's swollen take some ibuprofen or aleve.
