I cried in my dream in front a teenage girl.?

Question

I have this dream that I was wearing my college uniform and I was really sad that time. I saw a 15-16 year old girl; she’s wearing a white dress. Then I approached her I kneeled down and burst into tears. She asked me what my problem was. I said to her that “I cannot be with someone whom I truly love forever”. Then she said “don’t worry when the time comes you will be together forever”. Her voice was very calm and she seemed comforting me. After that, I asked her “really?!” then I suddenly woke up.

I’m a graduating college student and planning to take another degree after graduation. I had to leave my significant other due to my chosen path. I have loved with him over the years but still I can’t forget him. I feel so lost inside even though I’m happy outside. I’m completely fine and happy when I’m awake but my dreams hunting me.

First, I want to say "Congratulations on your achievements!"  You have done well.

The girl in the white dress is the girl you used to be.  She is still waiting to wear her white dress and marry.  You kneel before her, stating your choice and grief.  She stands above you, telling you the wish of your heart.  Perhaps she has something to teach you.

More than likely, you will still be having this dream when you are 50 years old, even if you marry another and find happiness.   Your deepest inner self knows the truth.

People who choose to leave true love behind for other goals usually live their entire lives choosing everything else over love.  It is good to get a college degree and prepare for your future, but at some point, life needs to be somewhat balanced between what love demands and other pursuits.  There are many women out there, successful and poised by day, who cry themselves to sleep at night.  By the time you "get to the top" there is nobody left to love, for the most part, except other people's mistakes and other people who will never put love first.

You do not have closure and possibly never will.  I suppose the choice is up to you.

Well, in dreams, white is ofted associated with God or a powerful life force in dreams.  I think she is your spirit guide or guardian angel or something.  She is trying to comfort you or maybe in your dream, you are your ex bf and you are witnessing what he went through when you left him.
