Question

I currently have Adobe Acrobat 4.0, 5.0 and 8.0 on my Windows XP system. I cannot open pdf files, so when I try to download another Adobe program, I get the response, "Can't retrieve essential parameter! (12250.301.169). How do I rectify this problem?
