Now that I need access to PostGreSQL, can I go to 2a web hosting company (they provide PHP, PostGreSQL and MySQL) and use my domain name (I can supply this under "existing domain" field) and select "build a package" to add PostGreSQL support on my current domain name.

If yes, what kind of bandwidth I can expect???

Will I get access speed of the domain name.

Or will I get access speed that belongs to the new web hosting company I'm about to build my package on.

How about the space??? It will be the space that I'm allowed on my domain, and not a2 hosting, right???

  1. As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your website: 1- Buy a domain name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.

You can get your domain from company A, and get your website online with company B.

Pick a web host with unlimited space/bandwidth to get rid of the subsequent problems. Take a look at: http://bluehost-service.atspace.com . I’m sure it would work for you and fulfill all your requirements. They have a really great offer & I have used them for over 3 yrs now, and have never had a single problem with them. Their service is really great and easy to use. You can register a free domain with them or use your existing domain names.
