I currently have blue walls with yellow curtains and trimming. I was hoping to go for more earthy colours.

i have yellow curtains in my bedroom which im unable to change and would like a colour scheme that would match.

what about a mustardy greeny colour.....Blue and yelloow are so yesterday.  You would probly have to stick to fairly plain colors if your curtains are yellow cause it willl look to busy.....or if all else fails white goes with everything and so does cream

you could go with a burgundy, forest green and beige

You'll need a precoat to first cover the blue.  Don't go with anything too dark.  Try the Southwestern homes which are decorated with the colors of the natural desert landscape—pinks, soft and golden yellows, sandy taupes and many shades of beige. I live in Texas and my home is limestone on the outside with iron gating.  On the inside I use all the natural desert colors and authentic Mexican and Southwestern style furniture.

oooh...cream, chocolate, terracotta, cafe au lait.  cafe/ cream on walls/ trim. chocolate/ terracotta/ yellow accents. warm and sophisticated!
