  1. You should have a read of the articles on this website, it will help you with the searching and also how to avoid scams but you're unlikely to get the names of any genuine companies in the replies here as there is no shortage of people looking to do work at home and data entry jobs.

  2. There is a Home Based Career Center on the website below. Real jobs that you apply for online.

Medical Transcription is of course included – there is an online guide to becoming a transcriptionist -- but there are other non-health related fields as well.

    http://www.MedicalTranscription.com

  3. Though there are many legit work from home available, I am familiar with survey programs and have registered with some sites. Residents of USA, UK and Canada are having more chances to participate in this. But you cannot make big money out of this. Until you settle with some good work you can use this for some time.

  4. There is a lot of competition for work from home jobs. I got started using

online freelance sites, and ultimately built a business with clients that I

    found through them.

http://www.scriptlance.com (Free - Best in my opinion)

    http://www.gofreelance.com (free - good site)

    http://online-jobs-success.blogspot.com/

    http://genuinedataentry.blogspot.com/

http://www.elance.com (Biggest, but kind of expensive)

The first link is mainly programming, but there are other jobs there as well.

You may have more luck with the second.

  5. You could do childcare.  But please make sure you have a patient and understanding disposition.  Children deserve warmth, support, kindness, and structure.

    Good luck.

  6. You can apply for freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription, online tuition or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years

  7. The work from home jobs that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

Time & effort required - but do your own research on what is best for you, don't take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public website.

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

  8. I know you are asking how to find legit jobs but please read this... I work in Fraud Prevention and I deal with people every day who "work from home" and think they have a legit job but in fact are commiting mail fraud...

Im sure there must be something legit out there but what ever you do DO NOT ACCEPT DELIVERIES AND RESHIP THEM... What con-men will do is claim to be some kind of business man and/or assocaited with an orphanage or church....and they will have merchandise shipped to you and in turn pay you to reship the items over seas (Usually Benin, Nigeria, or Russia) You wont know the items were bought with stolen credit cards.... Even tho you believe you are doing nothing wrong be advised that you can be arrested and held liable for the merchandise you accept -- It is considered mail fraud and the secret service just might show up at your door.

Whatever job you find - remember to beware - there are a million con-men out there anxiously trying to find you.

You can check out the FBI site and read more about fraud but check out this internet site... It list a lot of warning to beware of... Good luck! http://www.ic3.gov/crimeschemes.aspx
