light or heavy LCD TV?

I have done a bit of comparing into this and found out that the top makers (Panasonic, LG, Sony, Samsung etc) have much lighter TV’s that the less known makers (Acoustic Solutions, Wharfedale, Grundig, etc)

On average a less known maker of TV’s weighs around 15 kg, but a TV maker known almost worldwide, on average weighs around 11 kg. Why is this? So I wondered if anyone could help me solve this problem, before I set out on what TV make and model to buy.

To be honest, I cant tell you much about the wieght of a TV. I have a 42" Westinghouse LCD tv set that works perfectly with my set. I have a PS3 and cable with HDtv hooked on it and I have to say, I dont have any problem with it. Even though its not top brand, it works well with my PS3 and with 1080p blu ray movies. I bought this TV set from newegg.com. Even I bought off the internet, it came in pretty good shape with minor damages to the box (that doesnt really matter all!). The TV doesnt weight much, I was able to hang the TV on my wall with a help of a friend, so it wasnt much effort. Right now, I'd say the price of the TV goes for about $1G w/o warranty. It's a good investment, if your getting started uprading to the new technology era. You should do more research before you buy.
