(For Dubai World Cup and Arabian Horse Races"Thoroughbreds/Arabian Horses) Well I need a book such as Horse Racing for Dummies or a site, which would explain me A to Z on where to start....Things as how much the horses weight count how is it measured what does the 15.1h meant etc....is that height...what their speeds should me on which distance..which training is best how much land is needed...Specially could someone tell me is this area profitable even tough I would be starting it as a enjoyment if so how much...specially if labor for 1 man monthly would only cost me from 100 to 200 usd and feed, track etc would be extreamly cheap specially medication or any healt aspects would also come cheap....so i would love anyones feed back specially on where to start from...how to judge horses etc....what I basically want is my own farm where I would want to start breeding them and racing them..thanks everyone,,,im not doing this just for profit or money more of my passion..profit would be a +

  1. Are you only interested in T'breds? I'm a harness guy and on the whole harness racing is much cheaper and far more hands on. You could spend millions with what you are talking about. You need to find a good professional whose not going to try to just take your money.

  2. Well first of all you have to start boning up, now for instance 15.1h is a horses height at the withers and a hand is 4 inches. And if you want to start your own farm to breed and race thoroughbred horses you have to be fairly weathly.

I suggest that you learn as much as you can about the sport and the horses that compete in it.
