I have cut and paste Graphs from newspapers.How do I edit data in them and change the colours etc of cut paste graphs

  1. Try to create the same graph in excel. First give sample data for the graph. Then make the picture(from the newspaper) as the background of your graph. Then adjust x axis, y axis. Then adjust the graph using mouse to look like same as the picture. This technique is called as "Eyeballing". Try this. By this you can get the graph almost exactly as the picture from the newspaper.

  3. Unfortunately you can't. I'm assuming that when you say cut and paste graphs from a newspaper, you have scanned the newspaper or got it from an online source.

    Whatever way you did this, its not an Excel graph and you wont be able to edit it.  What you are seeing in Excel is and picture of the graph. As far as Excel is concerned, it could be a photograph of a kitten or some flowers. Excel only knows that its a picture.

    The only way to get what you want is to type the data from the graph into Excel, create a graph from that data, and format it to looks like the one in the newspaper.
