I decided to do my persuasive speech on how animal testing in wrong!?

Let me know why you think animal testing is wrong so I can have some ideas. Thanks

It's wrong because those animals are kept in inhumane conditions and never get to know love.  Also, animal testing isn't 100% going to tell you how something will work on a human.

animals in animal laboratories are not kept in inhumane conditions - I have been in one before, and I think that animals in pet stores are kept in more cramped conditions.

Animal models may not tell you 100% what is going to happen, but neither will human models!  In fact, given that you can breed animals to have, say diabetes, that can make them more reliable than human models.  As humans have very different lifestyles, it can make it hard to prove whether the effect of a new drug is the drug, or a lifestyle choice (e.g. a human might drink a lot of alcohol, or another might have been on medication of some sort).  With lab animals though, you know exactly what the environmental factors are that are affecting them, and you can control these.

Currently the use of animals in medical testing is needed.  If it were not, scientists would be using other, cheaper methods.
