It's been six hours already. Haven't had any cravings yet. I'm going to throw out old cigarette boxes and lighters so I can get the temptation out of my room. I think my triggers are when I'm thinking about my life when I'm alone, or when I'm bored and don't have anything to do. I think instead I might read a book when I get bored, and might try to stay away from my room for a while? Any suggestions on what else I can do to keeep myself busy?

  1. I recently quit smoking with ease.  I smoked for 9 years about 1-2 packs a day depending on if i drank.  It's probably a good idea to exercise.  That helped me.  Go running/jogging/walking.  If you stay inside and read you can create boredom.  I found that it was easier to quit if i didn't throw away my pack. That way it was a choice instead of a penalty for not having any cigarettes.
