  1. It is unsafe to refreeze raw meat.  However, you can use it in a recipe (like a chili or lasagna) and when it's cooked, freeze THAT.

  2. No, cook it all first and then freeze.

  3. YUCK!  You posted this in the vegetarian/vegan section...and you can't refreeze it.  You have to cook it or throw it away.  That's just disgusting anyway.  www.meat.org

  4. nope you cant you'll get food posoning. just cook it and eat it the next day

  5. Yes, but only if the next time you cook it you're willing to heat the heck into it in order to destroy any microbes which might have taken hold during its brief thaw period. The only reason refrozen meat isn't a good idea is because it tends to pick up infection during its thawed period that can continue festering in it even while frozen. If you cook the heck out of it, you can use it, but it might not taste that great.

The best idea is to just make something out of it that you know you'll eat later, and freeze -that-. You can freeze meat again after cooking it with no ill effects.

  6. 3 pounds of dead, ground up cow parts-good luck with that.  Asking in the vegetarian section is not likely to get you many answers.

  7. Sure, but cook it first.  During the thaw period it picks up germs.   Cooking it will eradicate it of the harmful germs that it picked up during the thaw.

  8. No, you cannot refreeze it. Your best bet is to cook it up the way you want it cooked, THEN refreeze the end result.

  9. if it was thawed in the fridge it may be ok but if you thawed it on the counter then just use it within a few days, its not a good idea to refreeze it

  10. You can refreeze the meat, but the quality will most certainly have been compromised.

As has already been suggested, the best thing to do is to brown it all up with some salt, pepper and chopped onions, then freeze it into 3 one pound ziplock bags to use later.

Use in: spaghetti sauce, tacos, nachos, enchiladas, stroganoff, vegetable and hamburger soup, and the like--or just make a lasagna and a meatloaf and stick them both in freezer for an easy mid week supper when you don't want to cook.

  11. probably

    and idk

  12. You need to take out what you will use now, cook the rest, then freeze it. Otherwise you run the risk of spoilage. I know it sounds nuts, but unless you plan to use the remainder the next day, you must do it as I reccomend. Take your frozen burger crumbles, and add to pizza sauce, pasta sauce, chili, ect.
