I went to the Windows Components window and removed the check mark from it's little box on accident, so it deleted. I have searched things, and they say it can't be deleted, but I can't find it. I went and downloaded it (IE7), so it said it was installing. Then it said to restart the computer for it to work. I did and still couldn't find it anywhere. So I am reinstalling it. I don't think it will help, though! WHAT CAN I DO TO GET IE7 BACK ON MY DESKTOP??

  1. How'd you get online to ask the question if Internet Explorer was deleted?

If Firefox or Netscape work, my mess with an oversized browser from MS?

It's probably still on your puter, just search the hard drive for "explorer" and when it turns up, you can right click for "send to" options and select "desktop as shortcut."  That should get the big blue "e" back on your desktop and you'll be right as rain.

  2. you could probably just go in the recycle bin of your computer and find the file... but it sounds like your computer is working just fine so it might not be a big deal...

  3. GOOD thing you did that. IE sucks. Get Firefox, ten thousand times better! Really it is a good thing

  4. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using...

I was looking up some thing else but remembered your question.

this was my initial sugestion Start-programs-highlight IE- send to desktop create shortcut

  5. Go back on Windows components and check IE and continue

  6. That's great!  Get Firefox 3.0 instead.  Or Opera.

  7. Have a friend download the installer and burn to a CD then install it from the CD.

    :D

    always works.

  8. When you install Internet Explorer 7, it should create automatically a shortcut on the desktop.
