I deleted a bunch of spyware last night and my computer is a mess, now what?

I was on surfthechannel.com and ended up with some spyware and other junk. I ran a Norton scan and that managed to delete all the threats and clean stuff up a little but today my computer is moving painfully slow and keeps running into problems that freeze it up. What more should I do to get everything removed from here?

  1. maybe get a new computer

  2. You should make a major cleaning: first save all the files you don't want to loose, then format the disk and install everything again - be sure you've got all the instalation disks you'll need before you do this

  3. Zip your data into as few files as you can.  Open an account on one of those "file storage" sites.  (Open accounts on more than one site if you have more work than you can fit on one site.)  Make sure to delete all those files from the site(s) once you get things fixed.  (They're paying for the free storage they're giving you, so don't use it longer than you need it.)

Everyone has a way to back up work.

The only other way is to go through every source of problem and fix it, one at a time.  You need LOTS of spare time and a fiar amount of knowledge and experience.

  4. just try defragging and run disc clean up

  5. just do a system restore,

just restore it to the time where it was working fine.

click start, then run, then type msconfig and press enter

click launch system restore, then choose a date where it was ok.

    hope this helps.

  6. save everything on a usb or dvdr and then format ur hardrive.

  7. Same thing happened to me, even from the same website, I just performed a system restore and my computer is working fine. Just make sure you restore your system to before you visited any of those websites.
