To be specific, I'm making room for the game Drift City from ijji which is around 750 MB. I recently deleted Dungeon Runners, which is 500 MB. When I go to install it, I'm sure the number in the "Remaining Space" should be over 500, but its not. I go back and I discover that yes, I deleted it.

Thanks.

  1. try and download windows installer cleaning utility its a free download and it cleans up stuff add/remove cant also its a free download

  2.   As said above, the Add/Remove program doesn't get everything. You can do a search for anything that had to do with your old game and manually remove the left over folders and files. Also check your start up and processes and be sure you don't still have any of them in there. And look to seeif it just stored the removed program in some folder. I have seen that happen a couple of times.

  3. I know it's basic, but it's tripped me up a few times:

Have you emptied the recycle bin/trash/garbage (whatever it is on your system)?

  4. Sometimes a reboot is required for windows to acknowlege the free space.
