  1. I can agree with the 1st poster, though I do not recommend adding a fuel injector cleaner at every fill-up.  It may or may not cause damage, but you won't get enough improvement to cover the $3+ extra at every fill-up.  You will also want to keep your tire pressure between 30-35 psi and make sure your air filter is clean.  If your car has over 75,000 miles you'll want to switch to a high mileage oil.  A trick to save on gas is to turn your car off whenever possible, don't idle the car while delivering to the door or whatever.  I turn off my car when I arrive at a traffic light that just turned red (1-2 minutes of gas adds up), though you won't want to do this at night if your car has auto-off head lights.  Also since you have a manual, try not to do too much engine braking, plus brake pads are way cheaper to replace then a clutch/transmission.

You should already know to anticipate lights and not to do hard acceleration or speed to save gas.

  2. get your tires rotated, change your oil, don't use your air conditioner if you don't need it.. (a/c uses gas, heater doesn't) get fuel injector cleaner.. buy like 7 or 8.. put it in your gas tank every time you fill your tank all the way up.. it will make a good difference in your gas mileage

  3. synthetic oil reduces fuel consumption by 5%, but it also gives you 5%  in power which is a nice bonus. A K&N air filter will give you another 3% better fuel economy, and about 5% extra power (another nice bonus)  Just avoid reving the engine above 3000rpm. The Tiburon V6 as decent low end torque so you don't have to rev it like a Honda to make it move. Whatever the recommended PSI for your tires is, alway pump it another 4-5 psi.  I do this and I notice the car drives easier and handles better.

  4. Ride a bike. Honestly nothing you do will save you gas. These fuel saving tip we all give and recieve now-a-days aint nothing more that frutile acts of desperation! Aint nothing you nor nobody else can do to save SIGNIFICANTLY on fuel. I'm only being honest.
