Question:

I dented my golf driver big time will it affect my play

i think i might be hitting it wrong, would this happen if i used a wood driver, does having a dented driver deny me of getting far shots?

  1. where did you dent it?  On the crown?  It wont effect anything.  HOWever you are hitting the club wrong (way to closed) if you dented the crown.


  2. i dented my 3 wood far down the shaft near the head. when i try to rip the ball with normal clubs it gets away from me but having the dented shaft straightens it out. the shaft being dented has nothing to do with how far it goes but the head being dented would make the ball come off funny.

  3. It might effect it a little but I think if you got a new (non wood) driver you would hit the ball a lot further.

    You don't have to buy an expensive one just replace the wooden one, as wooden drivers don't have the same kind of technology as do the newer ones.
