I desperately need help! Please help me in my math project!?

Our math teacher gave us a project which is to make or recreate a mathematical device or instrument. Abacus and flash cards are NOT included! I've been searching the Net FOREVER for ideas but everything's just too complicated. Please help me! :)

One that is fairly simple and sort of "flashy" (depending on your age) is to make a "facts checker".  It's basically a circuit board.

You use a battery (size found in a flashlight), a bulb holder (flashlight bulb size), wires, brads and a flashlight bulb. Make a "board' out of construction paper.  On one side of the board write multiplication facts.  On the other side, write answers out of order.  Put brads next to each question and each answer.  Run a wire behind the board connecting each question to each answer.  Then hook up that battery and the light bulb so that the bulb will light if you connect the right question to the right answer.

If you don't understand me, ask the guys at Radio Shack to show you what I mean.  They help me with the supplies projects all the time.
