I did a system recovery because my computer was infected with a virus. I have windows xp how do I get?

how do I get all of my pictures back. It has never erased the pictures before only the programs that have been loaded into the computer. AHHHHHH

Did you do a system recovery or a microsoft restore? If you did a microsoft restore you can run rstmui.exe and undo the changes. If you have done a system recovery, and are silly enough to leave pictures and documents in "MY DOCUMENTS' or 'MY PICTURES', then they're gone as you will now have a new logon, and all the MY stuff is in your logon.

i didnt know system recovery got rid of pics, i thought it got rid of programs but im not for certain.

if you dont see them sorry to say there pry gone.

depending on whether you did a system repair or full system recovery would make the difference in getting your pictures back. If you did a full system recovery and wiped the drive the you won't have anything that you had before.

Ack, Sorry... system recovery usually refers to a factory restore of your computer.  If thats the case, all data is gone.
