I have already had my interviews, but we hit a snag last year.Fortunately everything worked out, after filing more paperwork and paying more fees. But I did my biometrics on June 24th and on the USCIS web page, I checked for my case status and it said that my card was being processed on June 25th and to expect it within 30 days. It will be 30 days on July 24th. How much longer will this take?Should I contact the USCIS and ask them?I really need my card to go back to work and this waiting is torture. So if anyone has any answers as to what I should do, I'd appreciate it.

  1. You can go back to USCIS and get a stamp in your passport that will allow you to return to work.  They may be able to contact the card facility to see if there is any delay in the production of the permanent resident card.
