  1. Go there today.  If you show up late, then it is likely that the judge will lecture you but reschedule the court hearing.  If you just blow it off, you will be charged with a new crime, failure to appear, and a warrant will issue and you can expect to be arrested and spend at least a weak in jail.  Handle it today and you could get a fine or probation.

  2. fine and community service probably.

Learn from it; and make sure you CALL and let them know you've been delayed.

  3. If you don't show up, they will issue a bench warrant for your arrest.

If it's not too late, call the courts and let them know of your situation. MAYBE they'll be kind enough to reschedule, but you have to realize that the vast majority of people who use the "car broke down" excuse are lying, so they probably won't believe you.
