Yeah, it's true, and I am not trying to make a joke out of this. I ordered a pizza (will not say the name or place out of respect for the man that delivered the pizza), and it was about 30 minutes away from the location. When he stopped by, I gave him the money in change and some bills, then I said thanks, took the pizza from him, and walked back home. When I was walking upstairs, I heard some of the change falling, and when I looked out the window, he was still outside. When he left, the sound of his motorcycle made a loud roar, telling me he was mad, and that made me feel even worse. By the time I opened the box, I could not eat, and imagined spit smothering the pizza, I deserved it. I ended up eating my half of the pizza and smashing myself. I know I deserve to be bashed on, I was an a hole. What do you think?

  1. I don't know if he was mad or not when he dropped the change.

I ordered pizza a month ago.  I went all the way down to my apartment complex's front desk to get it.  Paid him in bills and coins and included a tip.  I turn around to go back to the elevator, and I hear change falling on the ground!  The front desk guy was politely commenting on my dinner, so I didn't get a chance to assess the situation.  I don't order pizza from them now.  If they are going to throw my money on the ground, I don't need to give them a cent.

Order from someone else.  Someone who throws your hard-earned money on the ground doesn't deserve your business.

  2. Ohhhhhhhhh you are such a good person *cries* , you are so cute!Tell me, was he interesting? :)

  3. You should tip.  What gets me is when places (I won't mention the name but it rhymes with Bominos) charge a delivery fee.  What's that?  Does that go to the delivery man?  Is that the tip?  I don't know.  I usually give about 3 bucks anyway.  I think you should tip because society is set up that delivery people, waiters, etc, don't get paid very well at all as they rely on tips.  So, instead of making your pizza $12 rather than $10, they leave it up to customers to pay the delivery peole.  Hope that helps.  Also, it sounds like you want to be abused :)

  4. I'm sure the pizza people are used to not getting a tip. I had that happen one time, I didn't have enough money to tip the pizza guy. I apologized and he was cool with it. Months later, I moved down the street and ordered from the same place, the same guy delivered and I remembered him from last time, and gave him extra, even though he told me not to. I guess it just depends on the delivery person.

  5. Good heavens, in my country, we hardly ever tip anybody. You can tip a waiter if you were struck by the fact that their service was exceptional, but otherwise - nobody expects or gets tips.

Tipping by its nature rewards good service that goes over and beyond the job description - you should never feel constrained to do it. Does anyone tip me for doing my job? Nope. So why should a pizza man, who is presumably paid to do his job, expect gratuity? If he's so badly paid he genuinely needs tips to live on, he should get another job or they should all strike until they get a living wage. Don't you have a minimum wage in your country?

  6. I rarely tip the pizza man. NOt because i'm rude, its just that I'm 19 and i always end up buying dinner for my 9 siblings and sometimes, that extra 3 or 4 bucks is enough to buy some big sodas or whatnot. Everything is so expensive now-a-days that i reeally have to keep a budget. I DO feel bad because i've always tipped just out of respect, but sometimes ya just can't. You have to do what you have to do, I have to feed them, i appreciate the job, but i have responsibilities too. :/

  7. As bad as you feel this time, you won't forget next time.

  8. pizza deliverers make there living of tips

so ya, that was pretty crappy dude

  9. your a little dramatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. You weren't in the wrong. A tip is optional I don't always tip either. Sometimes I feel bad about it but sometimes you can't afford to or they don't deserve it. I think you were hasty in throwing away the pizza he couldn't have spit in it without you seeing unless he did it before he even knew you weren't going to tip and if thats the case he didn't deserve one anyway. If you continue to feel bad about it you can always tip a little extra next time you get him. But a tip is optional if he is upset over not receiving one that is their problem. I have had pizza delivered and not tipped and they handled it gracefully and other times they act as if they are horribly offended when they don't have the right to. So you shouldn't feel bad about not tipping.

  11. Take it as a lesson learned and leave an extra nice tip next time.  No point dwelling on it.

  12. Proper social etiquette tells us to tip our pizza delivery guys but you didn't and that happens just be more conscientious next time you order.  Plus, most pizza places charge a delivery fee that goes directly to the drivers so he does get a "tip" no matter what.

If you really want to right the situation, stop by the pizza place and give the guy a few dollars and let him know you apologize for forgetting to tip him.

  13. I think you were kind of a jerk for not giving him a tip.  Though it's not technically a "requirement" to tip your delivery man, it is polite, and pretty much expected.  With gas prices these days especially, you couldn't throw him $2.00?  Maybe you should using the carry out option instead of delivery.  There are some pizza places, that throw in a delivery charge, I'm sure that's because of people like you.  Maybe pizza chains nationwide should just throw in a delivery charge to protect themselves from people like you.

  14. Don't worry about it , some of those blokes are better off than you and I are .

  15. u know if u were a gurl ...i wud say u have PMS n just ask u too eat ice cream

but its really a weird emotion cuming frm a guy! u seem really cute to me!!

the next time u order pizza ask the same guy 2 deliver n give him twice the tip!

  16. oh well, just make sure to tip next time.
