A man :

He wasn't coming at first-it looked as if he'd have to go to Bermuda with the Elks. You know, the Elks are in Bermuda.

Braidmaid(to another bridemaid):The Elks are in Bermuda.

Braidmaid(telling another )The Elks are in Bermuda

Braidmaid(singing it)The Elks are in Bermuda

Braidmaid(sing of course)The farmer's in the dell

Why this sence is funny?

I didn't get it!

  1. I'm american and i don't get it either

but then, i'm an airhead so...

    lol

  2. "The Elks" is a nation wide (USA) club where people go to play cards, have a drink and socialize.

Obviously there was a group of Elks Club members visiting on holiday (probably a cruise).

When each bartender acknowledged the fact that the Elks were visiting the island, one made a (pun) reference to the children's rime "The Farmer in The Dell".

    This is vaguely amusing.

    What bar was it?

  3. ok well that's a stupid joke.

  4. Sounds like one of those "nonsense" jokes, whereby the teller acts as though the joke is hilarious and you just don't get it, when in reality it makes no sense at all.
