I didn't get a tracking number?

Question

I ordered something from a company on the internet...and when I asked for a tracking number, they said they don't get the tracking number until the package is delivered. Does that make sense? Or am I getting screwed on a $400 order?

I am not familiar with a tracking number being supplied after the product being delivered to the buyer.  AFTER?   It makes no sense.  I would not be discouraged at this point.   I think it would be prudent to find one or two catalogers with whom to purchase in the purchase.  It seems like I have better luck by being a repeat customer with a two supplier approach.   I hope you contact your credit card company to not pay the bill if your problem is not resolved.

They are either seriously confused or lying.  If they used a shipping method that is traceable, they would have received a tracking number at the time of shipping.
