  1. if you didn't show up for court the probably have a bench warrant issued against you right now,so you need to call and straiten this out, they may let you just pay the court cost and the fine, but it might not be a bad idea to speak to an attorney about this before you try and settle it,they may come after you depending on what the ticket was for,i got arrested for a speeding ticket once because i didn't show up,so it never pays to be to careful when dealing with something like this, good luck with it, hope it turns out to be alright.

  2. hi.... I worked as a PST in a local town... Police service technician. I was in court alot for giving tickets ( parking tickets,  tickets for causing crashes).  Many times people didnt show for speeding tickets  and a  warrent was issued and drivers licience was suspended..  I attented many crashes where when you run the persons drivers licience it shows the suspension and the bench warrent....  so  certified officer was called and of to the local jail they went.. usually overnight  to appear in court the next day.  So not only did they get the increased speeding fine, costs etc they also got charged and fined for driving with  suspended licence.

So ...  what you can do is go to the court and speak to clerk of court pay the fine and the increase...  Likelyhood is you may be arrested...   you can always call the court and findout too...

Best advice is to call the court and offer to pay what ever is needed.. They may .. give you a court date to explain your actions to the judge... or they may have an increased fine anyway. Now if the judge did put out  a bece warrent then  really it doesnt matter you will be arrested. and croght befor the judge.

There is one outcome though you may not have thought of..  You should have recieved notice from the court in the mail.  Ie .. failure to appear........  If you didnt  thne you may be lucky in that the officer may not turned up... you may infact owe nothing ...   so call the court and find out............

  3. Don't waste your money on a attorney. Go to court as fast as you can and see how much it will cost to get this cleared up. You will have to pay the fine for the ticket and the bench warrant.See if you can arrange a payment program.

  4. for just a ticket you go to the police station and pay it ...they wont keep you...as long as you pay it....dint forget  if you didn't pay your ticket your license is most likely suspended too. but dont worry 2 much ,if they catch you  they will just hall your butt downtown. If you have the cash or credit you will be let out...and given another ticket for driving on suspended license ....you must go to this court appearance or your in deep ****.
