Alright, so please, before you begin to think I’m an idiot please hear me out.

I'm seventeen years old, and today I traveled about an hour away to go to a very nice mall. I was driving along with a friend. On the way back from the mall, we ran into road construction, so I punched into my GPS to find me a detour. All I had to do was take the next exit. Which I did.

Anyhow right at the end of the exit was the turn pike, but for where I was going, the turnpike toll booth was like right at the very end of the exit. I thought it was going to be a tool booth where you'd grab a ticket and go....but it wasn't. There was only one toll booth, (For Ez-pass, and cash) and i pulled up to it and instead of having some lady ask for money it was a coin slot... The screen said I owed 75 cents. I dug through my purse as fast as I could, I wasn't expecting to get right off the exit and find the booth! But I could only find 2 quarters, and a whole line of traffic was blowing their horns behind me.

  1. thats harsh er i dont think any dose that or knows the awncer they will probply send a letter

  2. You will receive a ticket for failure to pay the toll.

  3. Just tell your parents the truth.  The license plate number will most likely be turned in to the state police.  You or your parents will receive a fine or a bill in the mail.

  4. Own up to the folks, and agree to pay the ticket out of your own pocket.  If it's their car, it will affect their registration and/or license.  Evading toll is a costly expense to learn.  How come your friend didn't have a quarter?

  5. If you didn't get a ticket, you probably were not on a toll road, but crossing a toll bridge or something. You better talk to your parents. They can get it cleaned up for you. Even though it was only a quarter, you could get fined over $100 and lose your license if you do nothing and try to hide it.

  6. eek sorry bout your situation.

something similar happened to me a couple of months ago.

i drove through the tollbooth lanes and failed to pay.

i actually received a ticket in the mail.

soo um..beat your parents to it? :/
