You need to check your company policy, the company is affected directly if your are pulled over with your log book not up dated, so more likely they are trying to prevent their drivers from broking the law. Many accidents happen out there from drivers doctoring their logs so they can driver longer then they are allowed, so they drive unrested. This could be a way for your company to crack down on this, be patient, read handbook and work with them; know the facts before you attack.
