I recently moved back into my college dorm but before that I was living with my parents. I'm wondering if it has something to do with either the water I've been bathing in or the soap I'm using since I've changed environments. I've been using the same deodorant since then but I'm not quite sure why I sweat from my armpits and my deodorant does nothing for me.

  1. Our bodies change throughout the life. Any stress, life change, hormones, toxin level in your body, etc can change the volume of sweating.

Deodorants usually cover the smell, but don't help much with a perspiration.

In your case I would shower in the morning, then apply ANTIPERSPIRANT (not deodorant). Many brands started with a new line of extra strong antiperspirants. I move a lot throughout the day and I've been using Secret and Dove one and I LOVE it!

I never really liked those gel ones though. They smell nice, but I noticed that somehow I feel wet under arms really soon.

    Good luck:)!

  2. There is DEODERANT and there is ANTI-PERSPERANT, sounds like you need to switch to an Anti-Persperant.  This happened to me when my hormones changed the minute I got pregnant for the first time.......

  3. ~ change deodorant's. maybe the formula for your currant deodorant has been changed or the humidity is differant making you sweat more.

  4. I had the same problem this year... I've never sweated much before, but all of the sudden, at 28, I do.  A friend of mine suggested looking for Arm & Hammer (like the Baking Soda) deodorant.  It helps with the stain spots some but not necessarily the smell.  You might need to wash with some stain cleaner on your shirts.

  5. Its called puberty!  Try using an anti-perspirant as they stop perspiration....deodorants only cover the smell!

  6. Believe it or not, it is a good thing, sweat gets rid of toxins, healthy sweat glands are needed, find a different deodorant, even Rock Salt works
