If you want to know what happens, the main character "pushes" (this is debated) Finny out of a tree. Finny has a broken leg but otherwise is fine. He then falls down a flight of stairs and dies. The End.

Ohmygosh that's like the easiest book ever, it took me about an hour to read it.  It's pretty good too.  Don't be such a lazy butt.

You should've. It's a really good book. The one guy who answered above me and summed it up in about three sentences did a terrible job of describing the story; it's about much, much more than he says. Oh, and Finny doesn't die when he falls down the stairs. One could perhaps argue that he dies indirectly from falling down the stairs, but it's not like he falls down the stairs and is dead at the bottom, but anyway.

But it's a really good book, and since it's quite popular you could easily find out about it at Sparknotes, or whatever site you prefer.
