I died my hair a light auburn. But I wanted to get it done professionally so it's brighter?

I wanted to know, what is a good place to get it done that's not rediculously expensive. I've seen Master Cuts, Regis, and that's the only ones I can actually name off the top. I need a good place to go to that's pretty basically everywhere. Not like a personal salon that's only in one location. I also wanted to try a new style, and I'm scared that it'll get messed. Up I need a reliable place to go to.

And while I'm asking, would it look good to have the underneath part of my hair died black, while, the top is the red?

  1. As much as you don't want to go to a privately owned salon, those places are the best bet to get what you desire. There are too many horror stories that I could tell you that have happened to me, and others that I know who have gone to Master Cuts or Regis'. If you are worried about your hair getting messed up, I would suggest to NOT go to one of those salons.

Do your research on salons near you, ask others that you know who have great hair where they go and who are their stylists. As much as you may think that a chain salon would be much cheaper, that isn't always the case... It took me years to find my hair stylist and she is well worth every penny!

Honestly, what is 10 bucks more to achieve what you want and how you want it?

Also, I think your hair would look great with those two colors... everyone has their own style- I say go for it!!!

    Good Luck!

  2. ok coming from a well experienced hairdresser i will warn you that the chain salons that you are naming are not the way to go because us in the industry call them fast food hair because these women work on commision to make real money so they get you in and out charging you as much as they can get away with and dont really care if they please you because they dont care to get regular customers. alot of these women are straight out of beauty school because the turn over rate is huge because its hard to make good money. to make it look brighter and give you a more natural darker underneath i would have an experienced hairdresser brighten you up on top and where the sun would hit your hair around the face and leave the bottom a shade darker so you get dimension and not look fake.
